Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton confirmed for Dancing On Ice lineup

Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton has been confirmed for the Dancing On Ice 2019 line up.

While her former bandmate Ashley Roberts takes on Strictly, Melody has been announced as the seventh celebrity skater confirmed for a brand new series of Dancing on Ice 2019, which returns to ITV in the New Year.

Melody was announced via a message on today’s Good Morning Britain. She joins reality star Gemma Collins, actor Richard Blackwood, dancer James Jordan, Westlife singer Brian McFadden, TV personality Saira Khan and cricketer Ryan Sidebottom in the line up.

Melody will be getting her skates and sequins on ready to compete alongside eleven other celebrities in the quest for glory, under the watchful eye of the skating legends Torvill and Dean, who head up the judging panel.

Each week the twelve celebrities will skate live with their professional partners in a bid to impress both the panel and the viewers, who will ultimately decide who wins the show.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby once again return to present the show.

On joining the show, Melody said “I guess the cat’s out of the bag. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to see you and I can’t wait to do some skating for you!”

Yesterday cricketer Ryan Sidebottom became the sixth confirmed celeb for the new DOI line up.

The sports sta was announced live on Talksport Radio. He said: “I’m immensely excited. It’s obviously something totally different, massively out of my comfort zone. I’m just going to enjoy the ride, I don’t take myself too seriously. I’m going to embrace it, enjoy it, and have a laugh and a giggle along the way.”

Meanwhile, the first names for next year’s series of Dancing On Ice were confirmed earlier this week.

TOWIE star Gemma said: “I know how hard it is. I’ve done my research! I am scared, I am nervous. I really want to give it a go. I love the costumes. I love fun factor!”

Dancing On Ice will air on ITV from January.
