Miss Tres reveal tragic reason why they auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent

Filipino trio Miss Tres have revealed why they auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent.

One of the acts we met in this year’s auditions were Miss Tres, a three-piece singing group from the Philippines.

The trio are made up of Mavey (36), Mariko (43) and Crissy (35), who all work as entertainers.

“We would like to be like Destiny’s Child or Spice Girls,” said the group.

They went on to take the judges by surprise as they belted out ‘Sex Bomb’ by Tom Jones.

“Were you hiding a little secret from us at the beginning?” Simon Cowell reacted.

Amanda Holden added: “Your voices were fantastic, you’re just so hot it’s unfair.”

The group has since revealed the tragic reason they decided to appear on the show.

The Daily Mirror reports that the group was hit by tragedy in 2016 when one of their original members passed away from cancer.

Mia Narciso, aka Romeo, lost their life to lung cancer after performing as part of the group on Philippines Got Talent and later Asia’s Got Talent.

The group shared on Facebook after their BGT success: “To be honest, we did BGT not because of exposure, but to continue giving entertainment and to inspire most especially our LGBT community and above all to continue the legacy we started with our beloved brother Mia Narciso.

“I promised him/her that we would continue all our dreams not for ourselves but for our brothers and sisters in the LGBT community.”

The trio got four yeses at their audition and are now waiting to find out if they’ll make the live shows.

Britain’s Got Talent continues Saturday nights on ITV.

Plus, More Talent airs straight after the main show on ITV2.
