Love Island 2017 couple Dominic Lever and Jessica Shears are engaged.
The pair have revealed the news in a brand new interview with OK! Magazine.
Of course.
“It happened the night before the TV Choice Awards,” Jess said. “We were staying in a lovely apartment in London. Dom filled it with flowers and had got us a bottle of champagne.
“I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when Dom got down on one knee – he said afterwards that he had never seen me smile like that!”
The couple got together on Love Island back in June before they were eliminated half way through the series at separate times.
There were rumours of a fling between Jess and fellow contestant Mike Thalassitis while Dom was still in the villa but the couple have remained together.
Earlier this year, they said they wanted to start a family as soon as they can.
Dom said: “We are planning to have kids ASAP. Honestly I just want them now, I’m game.
“Jess keeps reminding me I’m almost 30 and need to be a dad soon.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Jess added: “I keep telling him that if he doesn’t have children now, he’s going to be this age when they leave school which means he won’t be able to retire and I put it all out on the time scale.
“We both really want kids, we love them.”
As well as kids, marriage is also on the cards.
“We have talked about engagement and it’s a progression,” said Dom before this week’s news. “It’s definitely something we are thinking about – when you know you know don’t you. It’s only a matter of time.”
Love Island will return to ITV2 in the summer of 2018 for its fourth series.
