Love Island’s Adam Collard ‘set to join Geordie Shore cast’

Love Island’s Adam Collard is reportedly set to join the new cast of Geordie Shore.

Adam, who appeared on Love Island last year, is said to be part of a big shake up to the MTV series.

The personal trainer from Newcastle is lined up as one of a number of new faces, reports The Sun newspaper.

A source told the tabloid: “Geordie Shore has undergone some huge changes this year and after they culled off the bigger names and brought in new faces, they’ve realised they need more star quality.”

They added: “Adam’s got a huge following after Love Island and is the perfect fit for the show. He is handsome, loves to party and will bring a new dimension to the house.”

Adam wouldn’t be the first Love Islander to join the series, with Sam Gowland from Love Island’s 2017 season already a part of the Geordie Shore cast.

The news follows Adam’s split from Zara Holland, who he met on Love Island last year.

Adam and Zara didn’t make the final but were instead eliminated earlier on in the series.

They looked to be going strong but Zara took to social media in February to announce it was over between them.

She wrote: “I am heartbroken to announce that Adam and I have parted ways.

“I love him very much and will always have a special place in my heart for him & our time spent together. I have tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be and to make it work.

“Sometimes in life, you just aren’t enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or how much you try to be.”

She added: “For everyone asking if I’m ok, I don’t know that I am. But I know that soon I will be. I will be strong and prove to myself that I can get through this. Love always, Zara x.”

While Adam is set to move on to Geordie Shore, it’s been rumoured that Zara could join Celebs Go Dating.

A source said previously: “She’s gorgeous, fun and clever – she’ll keep the men on their toes and won’t be afraid to speak her mind. Producers know that Love Island stars come with a legion of loyal fans to watch their show.”

Love Island will return for what will be a fifth season this summer on ITV2.
