Love Island recoupling results! Two guys left single after dramatic decisions

Love Island recap (June 4)

The first Love Island recoupling has taken place – here’s who’s currently coupled up!

Love Island kicked off its new series on Monday.

The opening episode saw the introduction of ten new Islanders: Amber Gill, Amy Hart, Anna Vakili, Anton Danyluk, Callum Macleod, Joe Garratt, Lucie Donlan, Michael Griffiths, Sherif Lanre and Yewande Biala.

The five guys and five girls were quickly coupled up with help from host Caroline Flack.

However it wasn’t long before things were stirred up as two brand new guys entered the villa at the end of the launch episode.

Tonight’s episode (June 4) saw the first recoupling as Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard chose which girl they wanted to couple up with, ultimately leaving two guys single and at risk of elimination.

Here’s how the recoupling played out…

Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre

Lucie Donlan and Tommy Fury

Yewande Biala and Michael Griffiths.

Therefore Anton Danyluk and Joe Garratt are now single.

Making his decision Curtis said: “Unfortunately I’m going to have to end a couple. The reason why I’m choosing this young lady is that she’s funny, fantastic, good looking, intelligent… the girl I want to couple up with is Amy.”

Tommy then made his move: “This decision is far harder than I ever thought it would be. I’ve had 24 hours to get to know the girls I feel anybody in my position would go with their gut instant. Ever since I walked into the villa, this girl has made me feel welcome. I don’t know what it is, it’s just my gut but that’s all I can go on.

“I’m speaking from my heart and this what I’m going with… the girl I want to couple up with is.. Lucy.”

Tommy’s decision caused plenty of drama – which will air in the next episode on Wednesday night.

Love Island 2019 continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.

Alongside the main show, spin-off series After Sun airs at 10PM on Sunday night.
