One boy has been eliminated from the villa in the first Love Island 2019 results.
Here’s a full recap of what happened on Love Island last night (June 7) as the first big recoupling of the series took place.
Back on Monday Amber Gill, Amy Hart, Anna Vakili, Anton Danyluk, Joe Garratt, Lucie Donlan, Sherif Lanre, Michael Griffiths, Yewande Biala, and Callum Macleod all entered the villa for Season 5 of Love Island.
After the pairs were coupled up, new guys Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard made a dramatic entrance, getting to steal two of the girls.
But that wasn’t the end of the twists as Molly-Mae Hague joined the villa.
In Friday night’s show, a text sent to the villa read: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling. The girls will choose and the boy not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #GetPickedOrGetPacking #BoyBye
Here’s how the recoupling went down…
Love Island 2019 results! New couples revealed
Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard (original coupling).
Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre (original coupling).
Amber Gill and Anton Danyluk (Amber was originally coupled up with Callum Macleod while Anton was single).
Yewande Biala and Michael Griffiths (original coupling).
Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt (Lucie was originally coupled up with Tommy while Joe was single).
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury (Molly was originally single while Tommy was coupled up with Lucie).
Therefore Callum Macleod ended up single and left the Love Island villa in tonight’s results.
Speaking after his exit this weekend, Callum said: “It was just really, really enjoyable. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there. Even though I didn’t meet anyone that I could potentially be with on the outside, I loved it, which is a great bonus.
“I would have taken any opportunity like this. It was a fabulous thing to do and a really positive thing in my life.
He added: “I don’t think I would do anything differently in person. I genuinely think I was true to myself. I didn’t fake anything. It’s just unfortunate that there was no one in there that I connected with.
“There were definitely people in there that I was closer to and maybe if the opportunity had come to speak to those people more it might have been a little bit different.
“But ultimately I’m 28, I’ve had a couple of serious relationships, I know what I’m looking for and it just didn’t come through the door on this occasion.”
Love Island 2019 continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
Saturday evening will see a special ‘unseen bits’ episode before the main series continues on Sunday evening.
Callum appears on Love Island: Aftersun on Sunday 9th June at 10pm on ITV2.
