Louise Redknapp will re-join the cast of 9 To 5 The Musical on London’s West End next week.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant was forced out of the show before opening night due to an injury earlier this year.
Now the singer and actress is set for a comeback, taking over the role of Violet from Monday, March 25 (via StageChat).
Louise will replace Caroline Sheen who stepped in to play the part from opening on 28 January 2019. She’ll perform through until June 29.
The 9 To 5: The Musical social media accounts tweeted: “We can officially announce that @LouiseRedknapp will re-join the show from MONDAY 25TH MARCH! ?? Catch her in the role of Violet, the sassy office supervisor, until 29th June. ⏰ #9to5Musical”
Louise herself wrote on Twitter: “So it’s now official. I am going to be rejoining the west end cast of @9to5MusicalUK on Monday 25th March until 29th June. Hope to see you there ??⏰ ”
Louise joins a cast that at the moment includes recent Love Islander Amber Davies as ‘Judy Bernly’, Natalie McQueen as ‘Doralee Rhodes’, Bonnie Langford as ‘Roz Keith’ and Brian Conley as ‘Franklin Hart’.
9 To 5 The Musical is currently booking in the West End at the Savoy Theatre until August 31, 2019. You can purchase tickets here.
Amber last month starred in her own TV special documenting her journey with the musical.
Starring country music icon Dolly Parton, who wrote the score and starred in the 1980s film the show is based on, Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5 aired on ITVBe.
Amber said: “Performing on the West End has long been a dream of mine, and something I have been working towards my whole life.
“There really is no better role to play and having the opportunity to meet and work with Dolly Parton is another lifetime’s ambition fulfilled. I can’t wait to share this dream come true with ITVBe’s viewers.”
