Louis Walsh has denied claims he’s being axed from The X Factor.
As yet, no names have been confirmed for The X Factor in 2018.
However, rumour has it that Simon Cowell is planning another major revamp of the panel.
It could see Louis, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne ALL leaving.
The dramatic move may be made despite Louis and Sharon already signing contracts for 2018.
“Louis and Sharon are both contracted to return this year, but Simon and the producers have lost faith,” an insider alleged to The Sun newspaper.
If Louis is axed it’d be his THIRD time leaving the show.
He first left in 2007 only to be brought back later in the series. Louis was then again dropped for the show in 2015, once more returning in 2016.
“Louis and Simon remain great friends and it’s not a simple decision to let him go,” an insider said.
But Louis has insisted he – and Sharon – will definitely be back thanks to ‘water-tight’ contracts.
Louis told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I have a signed, water-tight contract, as has Sharon Osbourne. Of course you’ll see us back on the show.
“Sharon and I have a three year contract, and we’ve only done two, so this will be our third year. Simon doesn’t break contracts.”
He added: “If Nicole’s not back, I’m going to miss her. She’s the best – I love and adore her.”
If we do get some new judges this year, former panelists Cheryl and Dannii Minogue, plus current Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, have been rumoured.
Craig David, Kylie Minogue and Mariah Carey are also touted as potential new faces to the ITV show.
The X Factor 2018 will air on ITV in the autumn.
