Len Goodman’s ‘awful’ Partners In Rhyme slammed by viewers

Len Goodman’s Partners In Rhyme was slammed by viewers as it returns to TV.

Former Strictly judge Len hosts the the new series, which is back tonight on this evening.

The show is described as a “fun, play-along family show all about rhyming.”

Partners In Rhyme sees a pair of contestants joined by four celebrities hoping to help solve a range of rhyming rounds.

Games include Rhymewatch where the teams attempt to identify all the rhyming pairs within a short film starring a special guest.

There’s also News At Len, where the teams must guess the rhyming headline in four fictional news stories.

The contestant with the most points goes trough to play Rhyme Against Time, where they must solve six 3-part rhymes against the clock in order to win a holiday.

The opening episode earlier this year was watched by 2.4 million viewers and reaction was overwhelmingly negative. Viewer dropped to 1.9 million for the second episode before falling even further to 1.2 million.

“Cant believe such a dreadful programme actually made it to the tv. Lets hope it gets scrapped. Preferably before next week. #PartnersInRhyme” one viewer tweeted of the first instalment.

Another posted: “What the Hell have I just witnessed on BBC1? What an absolute festering tv turd. Whoever commissioned #PartnersInRhyme should be sacked.”

And a third commented: “hells bells, I expected the Len Goodman thing to be bad but this is beyond dire #PartnersInRhyme”

Len Goodman’s Partners In Rhyme continues this evening on BBC One from 5:15PM.

Tonight’s latet episode features Union J’s Jaymi Hensley and singer Cheryl Baker on one team, while Olympic athlete Kriss Akabusi and comedian Natasia Demetriou form another.
