I’m A Celebrity ‘receives 32 Ofcom complaints over Ian and Andrew’s rows’

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has received 30 complaints over claims of bullying.

TV watchdog Ofcom has confirmed (via the Daily Mail) it’s been sent 32 objections over the behaviour of some of this year’s campers.

It follows repeated rows between comedian Andrew Maxwell and footballer turned pundit Ian Wright.

The pair clashed again in last night’s episode in a row over beans with Andrew taking himself off to be away from the group.

He later told James: “It’s just so many more days to go, I’m trying to give him [Ian] as much space as possible.”

James said “You’re an important part of the group, Ian’s temperament shouldn’t dictate that you don’t engage, I just want to check you’re o.k.”

In the wake of the arguments, Ian’s wife Nancy has defended her partner.

Arriving in Australia at this week, she told The Sun newspaper: “I think everyone gets a bit tetchy after a while… He has his moments but he’s doing well. I don’t think it’s anything particular between them. They’re both quite strong characters.”

She added: “I can’t wait to see him. It’s been a long time not seeing him.

“I think he’s doing brilliantly. Lots of challenges but he’s doing really well.”

I’m A Celebrity continues nightly on ITV.

More of this year’s celebrities include pop star Nadine Coyle; ‘Rak-Su’ singer Myles Stephenson; Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts; soap star Jacqueline Jossa and Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp.

They’re joined by Olympian and TV personality Caitlyn Jenner; ex-England rugby player James Haskell; TV and radio presenter Kate Garraway and latecomers, actors Cliff Parisi and Andy Whyment.

The I’m A Celebrity final date was recently confirmed for Sunday night, December 8.
