Geordie Shore cast getting two new Australian stars for Down Under specials

MTV show's stars set to fly to Oz this weekend

MTV has reportedly recruited two ‘sexy’ Aussies to join the Geordie Shore gang for a series of special episodes set Down Under.

According to The Sun, the reality show’s stars will travel to Australia this weekend for some fun in the sun.

When they get there, they’ll meet two mysterious locals who have been invited to tag along with their latest adventure.

“The cast will be filming in Australia and they’ve been told to expect some surprises – including two hot locals,” the newspaper’s source said.

“They’re all buzzing to start filming and love when MTV send them on an adventure like this. It makes the show feel really fresh and exciting.

“Bosses are keeping the identity of the two people completely under wraps but they’re being brought in to really shake things up in the group.”

A casting call was posted on Facebook last week, inviting ‘hot Australians’ to join the crew on the Gold Coast.

Geordie Shore previously filmed in Australia in 2013, when the entire sixth series was set in the country.

The news comes amid reports that Scotty T has been permanently axed from the cast for ‘unacceptable’ behaviour.

“The cast are flying out to Australia at the end of this week,” an insider told The Sun. “He won’t be joining them.”

Meanwhile, long-time favourites Aaron Chalmers and Marnie Simpson recently quit the show.

Geordie Shore’s sixteenth series recently began, with two new faces: former Love Island contestant Sam Gowland and Stephanie Snowdon.

They join returnees Abbie Holborn, Chloe Ferry, Nathan Henry and Sophie Kasaei.

New episodes of Geordie Shore air on Tuesdays at 10.00pm on MTV.
