Emma Weymouth reveals her tears over Strictly Come Dancing exit

Emma Weymouth has revealed how she was left in tears after leaving Strictly Come Dancing last weekend.

Viscountess Emma Weymouth and Mike Bushell were in the latest dance off and it was Emma who went home in the sixth result.

Judges Bruno Tonioli, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood voted to save Mike, who was in the bottom two for a third week running.

Speaking about her elimination this week, Emma said: “You have to respect the judges’ decision. I can’t change it. I gave it my best shot. Motsi [judge Motsi Mabuse] came to talk to me afterwards. She gave me a hug.

“I went back to my dressing room and cried.”

In an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper, Emma confessed she was “heartbroken” to be departing the series.

“I’m very hard on myself so I keep reliving every moment of that last dance,” she explained. “I torture myself about every step, every mistake. I did Strictly with my whole heart, my whole soul. I genuinely put everything into it. To be part of it is so amazing.”

Emma continued: “I know it’s only a TV show, a competition, and that once a week someone has to go home.

“The sad part is thinking about the dances we [she and partner Aljaz Skorjanec] would have danced but can’t now. I wish I had one more chance. I really do.

“Aljaz had an amazing quickstep planned and a paso doble. Strictly is a bubble — a magical bubble — to fall out of it so quickly, so abruptly is… sad.”

This weekend Strictly Come Dancing’s celebrity dancers and their professional partners once again each take to the dancefloor.

The remaining eight couples will appear in the ballroom on Saturday night when Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One from 6:45pm.

They’ll be competing for a place in next weekend’s Blackpool special.

The results show is on Sunday 10th November at 7.20pm on BBC One where one more celebrity will be eliminated.
