Soap stars Andrew Whyment and Cliff Parisi have been confirmed to join the I’m A Celebrity 2019 line-up.
Andrew is one of Coronation Street’s longest-serving stars, having appeared as Kirk Sutherland since 2000.
He has been widely rumoured to appear in the Australian jungle this year, although was not a part of the starting line up.
However it was confirmed tonight (Wednesday, November 20) that he will join the current crop of 10 celebs alongside fellow soap actor Cliff Parisi.
The 38-year-old will follow in the footsteps of Corrie castmates such as Jennie McAlpine and Antony Cotton.
He is no stranger to reality TV, having previously participated in Soapstar Superstar and Dancing On Ice.
Meanwhile, Cliff played mechanic Minty Peterson on BBC One’s EastEnders and more recently has appeared in Call The Midwife as handyman and gardener Fred Buckle.
In tonight’s episode, the pair were introduced as Ant and Dec revealed to the current crop of celebs that two newbies were on their way into the jungle.
Andrew and Cliff will face a bushtucker trial before they arrive in camp in order to win meals for the current line up of ten celebrities.
Arriving dressed head to toe as cowboys they will each face a trial behind one of the buildings in Ol’ Dingo Town.
Over the coming days all Bushtucker Trials will take part in Ol’ Dingo Town and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way.
I’m A Celebrity 2019 airs nightly at 9PM on ITV.
Those on the current cast include Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, Ex footballer and TV pundit Ian Wright MBE, Rak-Su singer Myles Stephenson, Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts and comedian Andrew Maxwell.
They’re joined by soap star Jacqueline Jossa, Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp, Olympian and TV personality Caitlyn Jenner, Ex England rugby player James Haskell and TV and radio presenter Kate Garraway.
Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reunite to present the show nightly over three weeks.
Meanwhile, former I’m A Celebrity campers Adam Thomas and Emily Atack will be taking over on ITV2 sister show Extra Camp, joining returning Joel Dommett.
