Caroline Flack has reportedly signed a mega deal to front Love Island for a further three years.
Caroline, who has hosted the show since its 2015 premiere on ITV2, will be back next year for both the summer and new winter series.
And according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she’ll scoop £1.2 million a year under the new contract.
It will see Caroline hosting both the main shows as well as their associated Aftersun spin-offs.
“Caroline negotiates a good deal. She drove a hard bargain. It is thoroughly deserved and she is highly valued at ITV,” a source told the tabloid this weekend. “Her fee for two months each year was £450,000 plus expenses but she’d only agree to commit to both series with a massive pay rise.
“She has really risen up through the ranks at ITV and is a hit on Love Island. She’s part of the furniture – the show wouldn’t be the same without her.”
ITV2 announced plans to air two series of Love Island a year from 2020 last week.
Bowing to popular demand for a winter edition of the show, series six will air early next year.
It will come from a brand new location, with the islanders coupling up in sunny South Africa.
Other than the villa, everything else is expected to remain the same with Caroline back alongside narrator Iain Stirling.
Paul Mortimer, ITV’s head of digital channels, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing an extra series of our biggest and sunniest show to the 2020 schedule.
“Love Island has proven yet again to be the perfect format that engages younger audiences.
“A new batch of young singletons will deliver some highly-anticipated post-Christmas romance and drama from our new and luxurious location.”
For now, the current series of Love Island continues nightly on ITV2.
Series 5 concludes with its live final on Monday, July 29.
