Candice Brown, Max Evans, Jake Quickenden confirmed for Dancing On Ice 2018 line-up

Who are the Dancing On Ice contestants? Three more names have signed up

Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, rugby player Max Evans and former X Factor star Jake Quickenden are the latest contestants confirmed for Dancing On Ice 2018.

On Monday, ITV began revealing the celebrities taking part in the skating contest’s revival, and today three more names have joined the line-up.

Candice and Max visited BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans Breakfast Show this morning to announce they’ll be braving the ice.

Candice, who won the BBC’s final series of Bake Off last year, said she will begin training later today.

“It’s nerve-wracking. I take my first steps on the ice later on,” she commented. “My friends call me Bambi on Ice, and that’s just normal day to day!”

Meanwhile, Max, who has won 44 caps for Scotland’s national rugby team, admitted that he’s already hurt his feet.

“I haven’t done any skating since I was a kid,” he explained. “It’s completely different having to skate on live television.

“I’ve had two training sessions which have hurt my feet a lot.”

Moments later, Jake appeared on ITV breakfast show Lorraine to confirm his involvement.

“I’m terrified! I had my first training session yesterday,” he revealed. “It was amazing, the coach was unbelievable.

“The first ten minutes I was kind of all over the place, and then I kind of settled down. I feel so lucky that I’ve been asked to do it.”

Jake has become a serial reality TV star since he reached the live shows of The X Factor in 2014.

He finished as runner-up of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in December 2014, and was reportedly a stand-by contestant on Channel 4’s The Jump earlier this year.

A total of six contestants are now confirmed for Dancing On Ice, which is returning in 2018 after four years off air.

Corrie actress Brooke Vincent, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker and Love Island winner Kem Cetinay have also signed up for the show’s tenth series.
