Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists: The acts who did NOT make the live shows

The Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists have been confirmed but some surprising acts didn’t make the cut.

This weekend saw the four judges pick the top 40 contestants from all of the successful auditionees to make the live shows, joining the five golden buzzers who had guaranteed spots in the semi-finals.

There were plenty of arguments and clashes between the panel as they made the choices, eventually compromising on a line up that they all agreed on.

But who was NOT in the live shows? Here are six of the more surprising omissions…

Dust in the Wind

Dust In the Wind are made up of a couple aged 23 and 27 from Cuba. Their acrobatic dance routine stunned the judges at the audition stages but they’ve not made the live shows.

Truro Cathedral

The Truro Cathedral Choir from Cornwall gave a tremendous performance of Can You Feel The Love Tonight which hit all the right notes with the judges at the auditions.

Mind2Mind

Made up of couple Marina from Ukraine and James from Milton Keynes, Mind2Mind blew the judges minds with their telepathic powers. Their audition ended by helping Simon and Amanda read one another’s minds in a trick that left the panel stunned.

Dan Rhodes

15-year-old magician Dan Rhodes from Manchester impressed the judges as he sawed Amanda in half using a homemade cardboard contraption. With four yeses, the teenager made it through to the next round but isn’t in the semi-finals.

Libby and Charlie

At the auditions, 11-year-old best friends Libby and Charlie impressed the panel with their dance skills – and cheeky attitude. The pair, who planned to spend the prize money on a holiday to Bora Bora if they won, performed a routine to A Thousand Years.

Ethan Higgins

9-year-old dancer Ethan Higgins from Ireland left the auditions with four yeses after wowing with his dance moves, even if he did take a swipe at David. Unfortunately for the youngster, he’s not one of this year’s semi-finalists.
