Tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent 2019 results are in with the last two acts making it through to the final.
Mysterious magician X and stunt magician Jonathan Goodwin became the latest confirmed finalists on Britain’s Got Talent 2019 this evening (Friday, May 31).
They join the previously confirmed finalists from the rest of this week’s semi-finals: Magician Ben Hart, singer Mark McMullan. singer Colin Thackery, comedian Kojo Anim, Magic dog act Dave & Finn, singing and dancing group Flakefleet Primary School, magicians 4MG and comedy singer Siobhan Phillips.
This week saw the Top 40 Britain’s Got Talent acts perform in the live semi- final in the hope of winning the public vote and securing an all-important place in the live grand final and the chance of winning a life changing £250,000 and a coveted spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
Each evening two acts made it through to the final. The act with the highest public vote automatically went into the final while the judges decided between the second and third placed acts as to who will join them.
Performing tonight were 33-year-old “extreme tambourinist” from Japan Gonzo; comedian Barbara Nice; mysterious magic act X; 31-year-old singer from London Leanne Mya; stuntman and magician Jonathan Goodwin and Japanese dance group Fabulous Sisters.
Completing the final line up were singing barber Jacob Jones and 11-year-old dancers Libby and Charlie, replacing Brotherhood who withdrew ahead of the live show.
In the results, hosts Ant and Dec first revealed the top three acts as Libby and Charlie, Jonathan Goodwin and X.
They then announced the winner of the semi-final with the most votes and automatically through to the final as X.
That left Libby & Charlie and Jonathan Goodwin facing the judges vote.
David Walliams and Alesha Dixon voted for Jonathan Goodwin while Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden voted for Libby & Charlie. With the judges’ vote tied, the decision reverted to the public vote.
With the most viewer votes, Jonathan Goodwin went into the grand final alongside X.
The finalists will go head to head in the grand finale on SUNDAY night, June 2 from 7:30PM.
The current ten finalists will be joined by an eleventh wildcard act picked by the judges as they fight for a £250,000 cash prize and place on the Royal Variety Performance.
