Alexandra Burke isn’t sure Strictly Come Dancing final can top The X Factor

Alexandra Burke says winning Strictly Come Dancing may not top The X Factor final.

Alexandra won the X Factor in 2008 where she performed alongside Beyonce.

And that duet is a moment that lifting the glitterball trophy in tonight’s Strictly final may not be able to match, says Alex.

She said: “I mean that’s a moment in my life that’ll never forget, I mean still watch it now 9 years later with tears in my eyes because I can’t believe it actually happened.”

Alexandra added: “Beyonce is my hero she always will be but this is all about dancing it ain’t about singing. I’ve hung up that mic for a couple of months and I’m all about the dancing shoes right now.”

This weekend the final four couples will each dance three times: Their showdance, a favourite dance from the series, and a pick from the judges.

Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez will Showdance to There’s No Business Like Showbusiness by Ethel Merman.

The pair have teased their routines will involve some props, as they go all out for votes.

Gorka said of their showdance: “Ours is based on old Hollywood glamour and old school movies.

“We’re trying to bring back our favourite moments of the show and do something fun, quick, fast and a lot of tricks.”

Alexandra added: “He literally has me leaping across the dance floor the whole time, I prefer the upbeat dances so I’m really pleased.”

The Strictly Come Dancing 2017 final airs tonight from 6:30PM on BBC One.
