A X Factor 2017 wild card twist has been confirmed, with the public getting their say tonight.

At the end of judges’ houses this evening (Sunday) details of the wildcard twist will be announced.

Viewers will get the opportunity to give a second chance to acts who have been sent home at judges’ houses, voting them through to the live shows next weekend.

There will be a total FOUR wild card acts – one in each category – who will join the 12 finalists chosen by the judges.

In each category, you’ll be able to vote for one of the three acts who made judges’ houses but wasn’t chosen by their mentor to make the live shows.

At the end of tonight’s episode, we’ll know the full list of Top 12 finalists in the live shows, plus those who didn’t make it.

Saturday saw the Girls find out their fate as Sharon Osbourne said goodbye to Alisah Bonaobra, Deanna Mussington and Georgina Panton – who will fight for the girls’ wild card.

But it was good news for Grace Davies, Rai-Elle Williams and Holly Tandy who are now all in the live shows of The X Factor 2017.

Meanwhile, in the Overs category, it was bad news for Talia Dean, Slavko and Berget Lewis who were all sent home by Nicole Scherzinger.

However Nicole said yes to Kevin Davy White, Matt Linnen and Tracy Leanne Jefford who will sing live next weekend.

Sunday night will see the final three acts in the Groups and Boys revealed.

The contestants competing are Simon Cowell’s Groups: The Cutkelvins, Rak-Su, Sean & Conor Price, Jack & Joel, Lemonade and the New Girl Band.

And Louis Walsh’s Boys: Lloyd Macey, Leon Mallett, Spencer Sutherland, Aidan Martin, Jack Mason and Sam Black, who replaced Anthony Russell who quit.
