This weekend will see the remaining 11 celebrity contestants performing live for a second time.

Ahead of tonight’s live show, Megan McKenna has reacted to Simon Cowell’s comments on her appearance last Saturday.

Megan performed original song This which the judges were full of praise for.

But Simon took aim at Megan’s outfit, branding it “distracting” and claiming that “it reminds everyone of you being a reality star”.

Responding to Simon’s comments in a new interview, a confident Megan said: “I’m not going to hold back. I know what I like and I know the image I want as an artist so I’m going to stick to my guns and wear what I feel is right.”

She told the Daily Mail newspaper: “When I’m on stage I obviously like to wear a little bit more as it is a show. There are no feathers this week though! With my style I have already pulled away from the Essex thing.’

“I didn’t take it to heart. I took it as a positive. If not liking my outfit was the only thing Simon didn’t like about my performance I thought ‘wow, he must have liked my song!'”

Megan added: “I really like Simon so there’s no hard feelings there. He is the top of the top. There’s no one above Simon to me.”

Megan will be performing live again tonight on ITV alongside the other celebs who are still in the running for a record deal.

Together with Megan in the Unders category, mentored by Louis Walsh, are EastEnders actor Jonny Labey and Glee star Kevin McHale.

Nicole Scherzinger is in charge of the Overs, with her category currently including Coronation Street actress Victoria Ekanoye, TV newsreader and journalist Martin Bashir, footballer turned actor Vinnie Jones, The Chase’s Jenny Ryan.

Finally, Simon Cowell is mentoring the groups made up of rugby trio Try Star, Love Island supergroup No Love Lost, social media influencers V5 and duo Max & Harvey.

The X Factor: Celebrity is back tonight (Saturday, November 2) at 8:30PM.
