The X Factor: Celebrity trailer revealed as air date is confirmed

A first trailer of the Celebrity X Factor has been unveiled, coming to ITV this month.

A new one-minute clip reveals the all star line up for the brand new show.

X Factor boss Simon Cowell previously revealed plans to postpone the sixteenth regular series of the singing contest in favour of the new spin-off.

It will see a range of celebrity contestants showcasing their singing talents, with the winner set to release an album.

“It’s time for something different,” says Simon Cowell in the clip.

“We’ve got a celebrity X Factor,” announces Louis Walsh.

Nicole Scherzinger adds: “And they’re competing for a record contract.”

Judges Simon, Louis and Nicole will be joined by host Dermot O’Leary on the series.

The celebrity contestants include Journalist, Martin Bashir; Talk Show host, Ricki Lake; Quiz show champion, Jenny Ryan and Actress, Victoria Ekanoye.

Joining them are Reality star, Megan McKenna; Model and Actress, Hayley Hasselhoff; Soap star, Jonny Labey; Film star, Olivia Olson and Actor, Kevin McHale.

Then there are the groups which include The Islanders, made up of former Love Island contestants Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker.

There’s also Try Star – rugby stars Ben Foden, Thom Evans and Levi Davis – Professional dancer, Brendan Cole and actor, Jeremy Edwards who form Cole and Edwards, Social Media Stars and CBBC Presenters Max and Harvey and V5, comprised of online influencers Sofia, Alondra, Laura, Wendii and Natalie.

The X Factor: Celebrity launches on ITV on Saturday October 12 at 8.35pm

Together with the Celebrity X Factor will be a special ‘all stars’ series of the show.

Dermot O’Leary recently teased that the spin-off would welcome back “a few of the winners, a few of the sort-of nearly winners and a few of the more eccentric people.”
