X Factor 2018: Dalton Harris red hot favourite to win ahead of semi-final

'The X Factor' TV show, Series 15, Rehearsals, London, UK - 16 Nov 18

Dalton Andre Harris continues as the red hot favourite to win The X Factor 2018.

Dalton Harris has been an unstoppable force in the competition, giving pitch-perfect performances since day one.

His latest was his take on Beyonce’s ‘Listen’ which saw judges unable to critique it as the crowd’s cheers and applause drowned them out. The Jamaican is now red-hot odds on at 2/7 to win after his odds were slashed from 4/6 following a flurry of bets.

Despite a tumultuous start to the live shows, Brendan Murray has made it through to the semi-finals after impressing with his take on A Great Big World’s ‘Say Something’ for Big Band night.

The Galway native has seen his odds shorten from 40/1 to 33/1 as a result of his latest performance, however he remains one of the outsiders to win as one contestant appears to have the title in the bag.

Anthony Russell has moved into second place in the betting at 5/1, seeing his odds cut in from 7/1 after he sang a nostalgic rendition of Bobby Darin’s ‘Beyond The Sea’. Scarlet Lee is next at 8/1, suffering a drift from 7/2 second favouritism last week.

Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “The X Factor title looks to be already awarded to Dalton Harris as he is now as short as 2/7 with his latest performance being dubbed the greatest ever on X Factor by Simon Cowell. He is undoubtedly in a league of his own and looks almost impossible to beat.”

She added “Brendan Murray hasn’t had the easiest of rides on X Factor but the Tuam native has persevered and has made it to the semi-finals as a result. Although his latest odds suggest winning may elude him, the support behind him is unwavering.”
