The 8 remaining acts left on The X Factor took to the stage in the live shows last weekend for the fifth time.

It was a night at the Proms with classics hits performed accompanied by a live orchestra.

At the end of the weekend, another two acts left as a shock exit saw Shan Ako and Bella Penfold leave.

Now just six acts remain in the competition – who is your favourite?

Last weekend, Scarlett Lee opened the latest live show with Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli before Brendan Murray took to the stage with Say Something by A Great Big World.

Shan Ako sang Summertime by Billie Holiday, Anthony Russell performed Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin and duo Acacia & Aaliyah sang an original song called ‘Act Our Age’.

Bella Penfold performed Strong by London Grammar with an original rap while Dalton Harris belted out Listen by Beyonce.

Closing the show, Danny Tetley sang My Way by Frank Sinatra as the fifth week of the competition drew to a close.

Bella found herself eliminated with the fewest votes before Acacia & Aaliyah faced Shan in the sing-off.

It was Acacia & Aaliyah’s third time having to sing for their place in the competition but it was one time favourite to win Shan who lost her place in the contest in a truly surprising result.
