The X Factor went live for the fifth time on Saturday and Sunday with a ‘Big Band’ theme live show.

Two acts were eliminated in the X Factor 2018 results while there were guest performances from former X Factor judge Cheryl as well as Tom Walker.

Next week, ABBA legends Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus are joining with The X Factor to celebrate the success of this year’s smash hit film MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again.

Benny will host a masterclass with the show’s six semi-finalists this coming week while Björn will be at the studio to watch them perform ABBA tracks from the MAMMA MIA! movies.

The contestants will perform some of ABBA’s greatest hits in their bid to earn a place in The X Factor final.

Benny said: “I am very happy to be hosting a masterclass and hear the last six contestants perform our songs. I am thrilled The X Factor is celebrating the MAMMA MIA! film soundtracks.”

Bjorn added: “I am looking forward to being at The X Factor studio on Saturday night and see how the contestants put their own spin on our songs just as Cher, Meryl Streep, Lily James and the rest of the cast did in the movies.”

As always, the acts will also be singing for judges Simon Cowell, Ayda Williams and Louis Tomlinson. After three weekends away due to touring commitments, Robbie Williams will be back.

Following the latest two exits of the series, a total of 6 acts are currently left in the competition.

In the Boys category mentored by Louis are Anthony Russell, Brendan Murray and Dalton Andre Harris. The Overs with Ayda Williams are made up of just Danny Tetley.
