Louis Tomlinson has revealed he's confident in winning The X Factor 2018 with his boys.
The X Factor airs this weekend with the start of the live shows.
Each of the final 16 contestants will sing their hearts out live on stage with judges Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Williams taking their seats behind the judges’ desk to battle it out with their contestants in the hope of impressing the audience at home.
This year Simon has the Girls, Louis has the Boys, Robbie has the Groups and Ayda has the Overs. They’ll be joined by resident host, Dermot O’Leary, who’ll be leading the proceedings and keeping the judges in check along the way.
Last Sunday we saw Louis pick his final four acts, selecting Anthony Russell, 28 from Liverpool, Armstrong Martins, 23 from London, Brendan Murray, 21 from Galway and Dalton Andre Harris, 24 from Jamaica.
Eyeing up the competition ahead of the live shows, Louis said: "Honestly, I think Simon is the one to be looking at, looking at who he's got, that’s a strong team. There could be surprises in Robbie's and Ayda’s though. But, no cockiness, honestly, I think I've got the winner. I really do."
He added: "I think I've got this level of respect and understanding with my, I'm not even going to call them contestants, with my artists. I just want to do different things with them. But in my mind right now there's two potential winners in my squad. That’s not a bad position to be in for year one…I'm not complaining!"
Meanwhile, Louis has taken to Twitter to tease he's chosen some "big songs" for the guys in their first week.
"Amazing couple of days of rehearsals. Some big songs week 1! Really confident in the choices. Gonna need your support! It’s gonna be a crazy ride for my lads," he wrote.
The X Factor 2018 airs Saturday night at 8:25PM and continues at 8PM on Sunday.
