X Factor 2018: Meet new girl group Sweet Sense - the next Little Mix?

Sweet Sense

We met brand new girl group Sweet Sense on The X Factor 2018 tonight - here's all you need to know.

Tonight it was the third and final instalment of the Six Chair Challenge that determines who makes judges' houses.

Last weekend saw Ayda Williams and her Overs and Simon Cowell and the Girls complete their line ups.

Tonight, Louis Tomlinson continued with his Boys before Robbie Williams rounded things off with the Groups.

One of the acts we met was brand new girl group Sweet Sense, put together after the auditions.

They're made up of 15-year-old Gaia Cauchi, 17-year-old Ellie Grant, 18-year-old twins Billie Tomo and Charlie Tomo and 15-year-old Kezia Povey.

In tonight's show, the group said: "We all originally auditioned as soloists for our first audition and then on deliberation day we got put together as a girl group.

"We feel we work really well together the connection is really good.

"If we're don't get our bums on that chair, we're going to have to take Simon's."

On stage they told mentor Robbie: "We've worked really hard and we think we deserve a chance, we do."

The group sang Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk to secure a seat at judges' houses.

Other groups singing for Robbie in tonight were the LMA Choir, ATTY, Tre Amici and Misunderstood.

We also met some other groups for the first time, including The Squirrels, Harry & Danny, Lost Tiger, The Hewitts and VIBE 5.

Plus, there were new duos A STAR, made up of Aaliyah Robinson and Acacia K, and Panda & Burgandy, who were rejected by Ayda last week as soloists in the Overs category.

As always, all the acts were wanting to secure one of six seats in their category at judges' houses.

But this year included a new golden X twist that saw one act put straight through the next round. They will be placed in a safe seat and can't be swapped out for another act.

The X Factor continues at 8PM on Sunday with the first round of judges' houses.
