Burgandy Williams took over The X Factor 2018 tonight with her audition.
The American singer was one of the latest acts to sing for the judges in this evening's show.
She was hoping to impress the new line up of Robbie Williams, Ayda Williams, Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell in the fourth round of auditions.
As well as the panel, Burgandy sang for the 4,000 strong audience at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
And the audition went down a storm with both the crowd and judges.
In this evening's show, Ayda was quickly drawn to Burgandy.
"I am so interested in you immediately," she said as the pair bonded over having 'the same last name'.
"I am America's best kept secret," Burgandy declared, "They held me hostage for years and I escaped and I'm here with you."
41-year-old Burgandy is from Georgia, USA but is currently living in London
She belted out Aretha Franklin classic Respect, hoping for at least three or more yeses from the judges.
And she got all four, seeing her progress to the judge’s deliberation, where the judges will decide who gets to fight for a seat in the Six Chair Challenge.
Other contestants we met tonight included Kiki Piesare from South East London, Nuclear Power Plant worker Roy Robson and Air Conditioning Engineer Ollie Swain.
Also wanting to impress were 20-year-old Kitchen Porter Tommy Ludford from Sussex, who was hoping to win over Simon Cowell with his guitar and an original song.
Finally, there was 20-year-old Make-up Artist Scarlett Lee who first appeared on the show last year. After going out at the six chair challenge in 2017, Scarlett returns with original song 'Survival' which she describes as her 'fight song'.
The X Factor airs Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
