After the opening weekend of auditions, here are the early favourites on The X Factor 2018.
The early 6/1 favourite to win is familiar face, Anthony Russell, who left during the six chair challenge last year due to personal reasons.
After spending four months in rehab and with the help of now judge Louis Tomlinson, Anthony has turned his life around and was back once again wowing the judges with his rendition of the aptly chosen 'Wake Me Up' by Avicii.
Also gracing The X Factor stage at the weekend was Irish Eurovision star Brendan Murray, but things didn’t go quite to plan at his audition.
In Sunday night's show, the 21-year-old from Galway originally sang We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off, but was sent away by the unimpressed judges to learn Kate Bush’s This Woman’s Work and re-audition later in the day.
Simon threw Murray another lifeline after he forgot the words and allowed him to read them off a sheet of paper. Finally the judges were convinced and sent Brendan through to the next round.
BoyleSports have made the former Hometown member the 10/1 second favourite to win as he has already begun to win over punters.
Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Brendan Murray is already seeing patriotic support from punters with the majority of bets hailing from his hometown of Galway as he goes into the betting as the 10/1 second favourite following a trying X Factor audition.”
