A contestant fell off the stage during The X Factor 2018's six chair challenge tonight.
This year sees three new X Factor judges with Ayda Williams, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson joining Simon Cowell on the panel.
This weekend sees the Six Chair Challenge after X Factor judges' categories were revealed.
For the 2018 series, bootcamp has been scrapped with acts instead going straight through to the six chair challenge from their audition.
At the six chair challenge, performances will take place at Wembley Arena as acts sing to make the judges' houses stage.
And in this evening's episode one performance went a bit wrong when an act gave it too much.
Tommy Ludford, a 20 year old kitchen porter, sang an original song called Dipping Biscuits for the judges.
"To get a chair would be absolutely life changing," he said.
Tommy told mentor Louis Tomlinson: "If I don't do this today I go back to washing dishes in the kitchen so I need this."
But during the energetic performance with his guitar, Tommy slipped backwards off the stage.
The shock caused host Dermot O'Leary as well as the show's team to run to his aid as the judges and audience looked on in shock.
Fortunately he was okay and given the all clear after being checked over by the show's medical team.
"You scared the **** out of me when you fell," remarked Ayda Williams.
"Lad, you scared the living daylights out of me," new judge Louis said.
He added: “I’m really glad you’re ok because that was very scary.”
Despite the fall, Tommy got himself a yes through to the next round.
Louis admitted previously he was "nervous" about taking charge of his category at the six chair challenge.
Speaking backstage last week Louis said: "It was as brutal if not more brutal than as you see on TV. I'm nervous about my category tomorrow and excited. I hope everyone delivers."
Meanwhile, this year's six chair challenge will see a new Britain's Got Talent golden buzzer style twist. Each judge can put one act straight through to judges' houses in a 'safe seat'.
From judges' houses, acts will compete to make the live shows.
The X Factor 2018 airs Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
