Nicole Scherzinger says she'll "likely" be back on The X Factor next year, despite rumours that Cheryl will return.
It had been claimed that Cheryl was being lined up for what would be her third stint behind the judges' desk in 2018.
Cheryl first joined the show in 2008 before leaving in 2011 for the American version. The new mum then returned in 2014 before departing again last year.
A source told The Sun newspaper earlier this month that Cheryl was already in talks to sign a £1.5 million deal.
"It looks like Cheryl will be back next year. Simon knows Nicole is likely to leave and he wants a big name, and some much-needed glamour on the panel," the insider explained. “He knows he will get that with Cheryl and she would be a really popular signing and a huge hit."
However Nicole has seemingly rubbished the rumours by saying she will "likely" be back next year.
"I will most likely come back next year. They have asked me back," Nicole told the Evening Standard. "And X Factor is my family and my home. So most likely I will be back next year.
“We are a great team, us together. I am very close to Mrs O and Louis. And of course Simon. We work all together and have great chemistry. We are one big dysfunctional family. We respect one another.”
This year saw the panel stay the same for the first time since 2010 with Nicole returning alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.
Whether or not they'll make it three years in a row remains to be seen...
