Who left The X Factor 2017 tonight? The first result of the series has been revealed.
Tonight saw the very first stage of the live shows of The X Factor 2017 with a brand new format.
The 16 contestants this year are performing in separate nights in their categories and this evening the Boys and Girls were first up.
And it was Spencer Sutherland who was first to be voted off the show.
After the debut live performances, for the first time this year the public vote opened for just over twelve minutes.
This year there is no sing off and the results are on the same night, decided by the viewer poll alone.
Once the vote had closed, Dermot O'Leary welcomed back the contestants who had performed before announcing the results.
Ranked bottom and voted off The X Factor in tonight's results was Spencer Sutherland.
The American musician said: "I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone so much, and the UK for welcoming me with open arms."
At the other end of the public poll, Grace Davies was top of the vote and will go forward to a new sing-off tomorrow (Sunday).
There Grace will perform against the top ranked contestant from Sunday's vote in a bid to win a masterclass in New York with P!nk.
Elsewhere, tonight's opening live show saw a guest performance from One Direction star Liam Payne.
A total of 15 now remain in the competition's final stages ahead of Sunday's show.
They are Simon Cowell's Groups Rak-Su, The CutKelvins and Sean and Conor Price, Sharon Osbourne's Girls Grace Davies, Rai-Elle Williams and Holly Tandy, Louis Walsh's Boys Lloyd Macey and Sam Black and Nicole Scherzinger's Overs Kevin Davy White, Matt Linnen and Tracy Leanne Jefford.
Plus tonight saw four wild card acts confirmed after the public got to pick another act to make the live shows from those who missed out at judges houses. Alisah Bonaobra is the Wild Card for the Girls category while Talia Dean is the Overs wild card.
Leon Mallett won the Boys wildcard vote while Jack & Joel are the Groups wild card for The X Factor 2017.
The X Factor 2017 continues Sunday night on ITV from the earlier time of 7PM with the Overs and Groups performances.
Stormzy will be performing plus another contestant will be heading home.
