Samantha Lavery is being tipped to become the latest X Factor act to sign a record deal.
So far a total of four of last year's acts have penned various contracts with music makers.
Winner Matt Terry signed up to RCA Records, Saara Aalto is with Sony Music and 5 After Midnight this week announced they were joining Simon Cowell's Syco label.
Honey G also got a single deal with Syco although after her track flopped at Number 149 in the charts it remains to be seen if her contract will go any further.
Now the Daily Star newspaper is reporting that Samantha Lavery could be set to scoop a record deal with Simon's company.
"Simon signed Ella Henderson when she left the show at the same point Sam did so it isn't a stretch of the imagination," a source told the newspaper. "Sam was always the hardest worker on the show and got along with everyone – Simon even predicted she would win the series."
The insider explained: "Syco bosses have three months after the X Factor final to pick up anyone who made the live shows and those in the inner circle know Simon is still considering his options.
"His punt on Honey G doesn't seem to have paid off."
Sam herself told the tabloid this week: "Simon told me to remember that people like Jennifer Hudson never won their competition but look at them now."
Before any records however is the X Factor live tour which will see Sam, Honey G, 5 After Midnight, Saara and Matt joined by Four Of Diamonds, Ryan Lawrie and Emily Middlemas.
