X Factor's Leona Lewis has recreated her very first audition a decade on.

Leona first performed for the judges on The X Factor back in 2006, singing Over The Rainbow.

She went on to win the show and become X Factor's first big success story, topping charts around the globe.

Some ten years on, Leona has uploaded a new cover of her first audition to YouTube.

"Cannot believe it’s been 10 years. Thank you," she tweeted alongside the video.

In the clip, Leona tells fans: "I wanted to say a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported me and believed in me since day one."

While Leona enjoyed much success in the late 00s, her chart career has since declined and she was dropped from her latest label earlier this year.

Her fifth album out in 2016 peaked outside the Top 10 and sold 8,500 copies in its first week.

A return to Simon Cowell's Syco label - who Leona left in 2014 - was not ruled out.

Simon, who mentored Leona on The X Factor back in 2006, said previously: “I have a real soft spot for Leona for so many reasons. I’d say to her, and I genuinely mean this, that the door will always be left open.

“Any time she ever thought, ‘I want to come back to Syco’ I’d welcome her with open arms.”

But rather than focus on the charts, Leona has moved into musical theatre and recently appeared on Broadway in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats.

Rumour has she's soon due to duet with Britain's Got Talent's Calum Scott.
