X Factor contestants we want to see back next year

As the X Factor gears up for another year, here’s our pick of last year’s contestants we hope to see again.

X Factor loves a comeback with a number of finalists having previously auditioned for the show or others before making it.

Alexandra Burke got as far as judges’ houses before her victory while 2015 champ Louisa Johnson was turned away by Britain’s Got Talent before winning her series.

Here are just some of the amazing performers from last year we’d love to give it another shot…

Benji Matthews
Benji Matthews’ shock exit at the six chair challenge proved very controversial. While we did get a wild card twist, he wasn’t eligible. Here’s hoping the guy who brought us a song about EastEnders’ Mick and Linda returns next year.

Lemonade
We missed having a girl group in the live shows of The X Factor this year. If we had our pick from the few we saw at the auditions, it’d be Lemonade who killed it at judges’ houses.

Nicole Cadwell
Nicole Cadwell suffered badly with nerves throughout her time on The X Factor. If she can learn to control them we’d love to hear more of her voice next year.

Aidan Martin
With original songs being ‘in’ on The X Factor this year we were surprised Aidan didn’t make the cut – but then that’s Louis Walsh for you. Maybe next year, with another mentor, it could be Aiden’s time…
