X Factor 2018: This weekend’s theme revealed – who will be out next?
The X Factor 2018’s latest theme and guest stars have been revealed – but who’s at risk of going home?
The X Factor’s live shows kicked off last weekend with a ‘This Is Me’ theme.
Two contestants got the boot in the first X Factor 2018 results as Olatunji Yearwood and Armstrong Martins were both eliminated. Plus, there were guest performances from reigning X Factor winners Rak-Su and The Greatest Showman’s Keala Settle.
It starts all over again on Saturday night with a brand new theme, and it’s another X Factor classic ‘Guilty Pleasures’.
Host Dermot O’Leary quipped that a lot of X Factor judge Robbie Williams’ own songs may be featured.
Currently a total of 14 contestants are left in the competition.
Making up Robbie’s groups are duo Acacia and Aaliyah, LMA Choir, Misunderstood and boy band United Vibe, while the Girls’ category mentored by Simon Cowell is made up of Bella Penfold, Molly Scott, Scarlett Lee, and Shan Ako.
Both the Boys and Overs are now down one act.
In the Boys category, mentored by Louis Tomlinson, are Anthony Russell, Brendan Murray and Dalton Andre Harris. Ayda Williams leads The Overs, now made up of Danny Tetley, Giovanni Spano and Janice Robinson.
After being in the sing-off last weekend, Janice also finds herself as the favourite for the boot this Saturday night.
She’s the 11/8 favourite for the next elimination, or there’s 9/4 on offer that her fellow Overs category singer Gio is axed, in a blow to Ayda’s chances.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the market, Shan is storming ahead as the clear front runner at 7/4, with Dalton Harris and Misunderstood her closest rivals at 6/1 apiece.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Janice might be dreaming of winning X Factor, but unfortunately the odds suggest this weekend could be her last on the show.”
Alongside the latest live performances from the acts, this week there will be guest performances from Little Mix and Kylie Minogue.
The X Factor airs on ITV this Saturday at 8:35PM and continues with the second results show at 8PM on the Sunday.
