X Factor 2017 results: Kevin Davy White tops latest public voteX Factor 2017 results: Who left? Who won?
Kevin Davy White has been revealed as the winner of the fifth public vote on The X Factor.
Tonight saw the latest stage of the live shows of The X Factor 2017 with a brand new format.
The 12 remaining contestants this year are performing on separate nights in their categories and the Overs and Groups were first up this weekend.
After their latest performances live tonight, the acts had a nervous wait as the public vote opened.
In the new format, this year there is no sing off and the results are on the same night, decided by the viewer poll alone.
Ranked bottom were duo Joel and Jack and they were therefore the ones who were voted off The X Factor tonight.
But at the other end Kevin Davy White topped the public poll for a second week, host Dermot O’Leary revealed. The placings of the remaining Overs and Groups contestants were not disclosed.
This year, rather than a sing-off between the bottom acts, there will be a sing-off between the acts who topped the votes on Saturday and Sunday night.
Kevin will therefore perform again on Sunday evening against the top ranked contestant in the Boys and Girls category. They will compete for a prize, which this week is the chance to open up for Little Mix at their Manchester tour date.
Meanwhile, on Sunday there will also be another elimination as the lowest ranked of the Girls and Boys in the next vote is sent home.
A total of 11 now remain in the competition’s final stages ahead of Sunday’s show.
They are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su, The CutKelvins and Sean and Conor Price, Sharon Osbourne’s Girls Grace Davies, Rai-Elle Williams, Holly Tandy and wildcard Alisah Bonaobra.
Plus Louis Walsh’s Boys Lloyd Macey and Sam Black and Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs Kevin Davy White and Matt Linnen.
The X Factor 2017 continues Sunday night on ITV from the earlier time of 7:30PM with the Boys and Girls performances.
Paloma Faith will be performing plus another contestant will be heading home.
