The Big Brother 2011 advert for the new series on Channel 5 premiered on telly on Friday night, and now you can take a short look at how the ad was made! Featuring the shows new host Brian Dowling, the ad sees some 100 former housemates celebrate the return of the reality show.
A brass band, cheerleading team and some 500 extras also took part in the 60 second spot, which was watched by over a million viewers last week.
Ex-housemates from both the celebrity version and public versions of the show take part in the promo, including ex-Sugababe Mutya Buena, Nikki Grahame, and horse-racing pundit John McCririck.
They are seen dancing and lip-syncing to ‘When Bruv Takes Over’, a fresh, Big Brother themed take on David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s ‘When Love Takes Over’. The trailer had its TV premiere tonight on Channel 5 at 9.55PM.
Jeff Ford, Director of Programmes, Channel 5, said about the ad: “As the countdown to the return of Big Brother continues, this promo captures the vibrancy which has made the show such a hit.
"With the new series now just around the corner, I’m sure the promo will whet the appetite of Big Brother fans across the country.”
