It's been nearly two years since Leona Lewis released her last new material, but she's back and today the "global songstress" premiered her new single 'Collide' on Radio 1's Scott Mills show. The uptempo (for Leona) track is set to be the singer's new single from her third album due out later this year.
Since winning the show back in 2006, Leona has gone on to become by far the biggest success of the show, topping the charts across the world with her debut single 'Bleeding Love'. More recently however, sales have declined and her last single failed to reach the top 10.
This new track takes Leona in a very different direction then her previous dreary ballads, and coupled with a style overhaul it looks as though Leona 2.0 is well and truly here.
Collide was produced by Sandy Vee & Avicii and written by Autumn Rowe. It is rather good.
