Britain's Got Talent 2015: Amanda Holden wants acts to actually make an effort

Britain's Got Talent 2015 judge Amanda Holden has pleaded with acts to actually make an effort.

The veteran BGT judge wants budding performers to really put some work into their acts from the way they dress to their rehearsals.

And Amanda also begged wannabes to "think outside the box" and know why they're different from the thousands of others who turn up.

Speaking on the red carpet at auditions in London this week, Amanda revealed how she's been interrogating this year's contestants with various "odd questions".

She teased: "If it was me [auditioning] I'd be thinking the night before of answers to stupid questions just in case they asked me."

In our red carpet chat with BGT's Amanda - which you can watch in full above - we also learn just what David Walliams has been doing with his NTA gong for Best TV show judge... and it involves a trip to the toilet.

Meanwhile, Amanda reckons that despite complaints from some viewers, singers should be welcomed on BGT as it provides a better showcase for them.

The West End star admits: "I think they've got a better chance as they stand out more."
