The Voice 2013 preview: LB Robinson takes on Sir Tom Jones' hit

Here's another teaser from tonight's episode of The Voice UK, as LB Robinson takes on a risky song choice.

And he's not the only one on this weekend's episode.

Not one, but three acts in tonight's are using the brave, if not somewhat risky tactic of getting noticed by covering a coaches song. In the words of Danny O’Donoghue: “Singing a coaches song can go either way. You’re on a tightrope, you really are.”

So, for 32 year old Birmingham lad LB Robinson, how will he fare with Sir Tom Jones when he sings the Silver Bear’s very own ‘She’s a Lady’?

It could go either way, but Jessie J’s advice is: “You always have to either do a version that is really going to stand out from the original, or do something that is gonna be as good if not better.”

However it seems LB has made a good choice, with a source claiming this week: "Tom Jones is the only coach who really enjoys hearing his songs being covered by the acts. The others find it difficult to listen to as it's very rare an act can get it right and do the song justice.

"Danny especially can be very critical when an act comes out and sings The Script songs."

Watch LB’s full audition tonight, Saturday, 20th April at 8.20pm on BBC One.
