Britain's Got Talent 2013 kicks off this weekend and here's a first look at the amazing new show opener.
After Stephen Mulhern's 'More Talent' shake video, Ant and Dec and the team over on ITV had a lot to live up to with their promo.
Featuring stars from the show over the past years, including Stavros Flatley, Jonathan and Charlotte and last year's winners Ashleigh and Pudsey, the two and a half minute scene doesn't disappoint.
The opener begins with a mysterious red buzzer placed in the middle of Covent Garden, with an arrow pointing to it that reads: ‘Push for Talent.’ Bemused onlookers stand by waiting for someone to dare to push it and when they do, there are plenty of surprises in store with a wealth of performers unleashed on the unsuspecting crowds, including a host of former BGT stars such as last year’s winners Ashleigh and Pudsey.
Suddenly, as ‘Walking on Sunshine’ begins to play, Billy George rolls past on his cyr wheel. He’s soon followed by a brass band that walk out playing the song, a choir, jive dancers, Spelbound and some unicyclists.
As the chorus kicks in, they all gesture to a balcony, where Jonathan and Charlotte start belting out the hit. With Twist and Pulse, Stavros Flatley and Ashleigh and Pudsey all making appearances to show off their dance moves there’s an even bigger surprise in store for the astonished spectators as a pair of magicians do a trick, revealing Ant and Dec standing behind a Union Jack flag.
Britain’s Got Talent airs on Saturday 13th April on ITV at 7.00pm
