Filming has officially begun on the seventh series of the acclaimed ITV crime drama Unforgotten.
Sanjeev Bhaskar and Sinéad Keenan are back as DI Sunny Khan and DCI Jess James,.
The last series grabbed an impressive 9.2 million viewers at launch, and has become ITV’s biggest returning drama of 2025 so far.
This time, viewers can expect a fresh mystery with a chilling start as human remains are found hidden in a Ladbroke Grove house, believed to be a child’s, sending Sunny and Jess into one of their most emotionally charged cases yet.
Their investigation soon links the remains to a previous historic case, drawing the duo deeper into a decades-old web of secrets.
A marque of Unforgotten has always been its rich ensemble, and series seven doesn’t disappoint.
New faces joining the cast include Sophie Rundle, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Jo Hartley and Paul Kaye, alongside Paula Wilcox and Philip Martin Brown.
The regular police team also returns, with Jordan Long, Carolina Main, Pippa Nixon and Georgia Mackenzie reprising their roles.
The new story will see Unforgotten’s detectives follow leads through striking locations across the UK – from Ladbroke Grove and Great Yarmouth to Coventry, Halifax and Reading Prison.
