Stephen Tompkinson drama 'Wild At Heart' axed by ITV after six series!

Stephen Tompkinson fronted ITV1 drama series 'Wild At Heart' has been axed by the channel after seven series. The series, set in Africa which used to star Amanda Holden won't return for a seventh series.

The show started in 2006 and centers around the Trevanions, a family of vets who live and work at a South African nature reserve however ITV have announced that they're axing the show and that it will conclude with a two hour episode later this year.

The decision is thought to be due to the show pulling in the lowest viewers in it's history in its seventh series despite these still being 7 million on average. Current cast members include Lucy Jo Hudson and Jill Halfpenny.
