The Britain's Got Talent 2012 auditions hit Cardiff at the wakened, with a range of acts that included some too big even for the stage!

Aquabatix , a four person swimming team, impressed the judges outside of the arena in the pouring rain, while the stop in Wales also saw a pole dancer and a singer performing a 'congratulations song' for Amanda Holden.

The West End star wasn't present at the auditions, having had to spend a second week in hospital after giving birth last Monday.

Speaking outside the Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Simon said that Amanda was "doing well", and insisted there were no plans to replace her for the auditions.

“She is doing well now. It has been a worrying time but she was quite cheerful and hopes to be out of hospital soon," he said. “We are not looking at a replacement. We want Amanda back when she is good and ready.”

Simon also revealed he's been getting along brilliantly with new judge David Walliams, saying: “We are working well together.

“We bounce off each other. It’s as if we have worked together for a long time.”

Britain's Got Talent 2012 auditions air in April on ITV1.
