Eliminated X Factor hopeful Jonjo Kerr has said it's "frustrating" that the public have been asked to vote a contestant back without hearing them sing again. One of Jonjo, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes and James Michael will be rejoin the competition tonight in place of axed Frankie Cocozza.
But only the contestant who tops the poll will sing, with viewers having to base their decisions on personality and past performances from five weeks ago.
Speaking on Daybreak yesterday, Jonjo said: "It’s a little bit frustrating and it would be nice if we could all sing and try to sing our way back in – sing for our supper – but we have just got to hope now."
And Jonjo - the least likely of the four to go back - added: "I’m just hoping that people don’t go on the one performance and that they judge us on all our performances, all the way from auditions, to bootcamp, to judges houses.
"We all had a fair crack at it but on the live show we didn’t shine."
