After Frankie Cocozza's shock exit from The X Factor today, rumours have unsurprisingly been flying around about what will happen now. Could Johnny or The Risk make a return? Will there be no elimination this weekend?! Will there be a wildcard entry!?
The X Factor's people have told us that an official announcement will be made tomorrow regarding the weekend's show, and we reckon that's ultimately because even they don't know what they're doing just yet!
While bringing back The Risk or Johnny may seem like the fairest and easiest thing to do, it does seem pretty pointless; after all they did leave on Sunday after polling the fewest votes of all the remaining contestants.
Another option is bringing back one of Jonjo Kerr, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes or James Michael, who all left without a public vote at the start of the show. However, now seven weeks in, it’s mighty unfair on the remaining contestants who have survived the eliminations to date.
Not having any elimination on Sunday may be simple but it could make the finalists relax too much and not even bother, if no one is going home, what's the point?
But with the final very firmly booked for Wembley Arena on December 10, something has to happen, else the winner will be decided before the end of the show!
