X Factor judge Louis Walsh reportedly wants to see Cheryl Cole back on the panel. According to the Sunday Mirror, the cheeky Irish music manager wants the Geordie brunette to return to the show after falling out with Kelly Rowland.
We reported earlier today how Louis had supposedly called for Kelly Rowland to be axed after her row with Tulisa.
A source said: "He’s been talking about how well the X Factor could cope without Kelly. There’s already been rumours about yet another shake up of the panel next year – or even before the end of this season.
“And with Simon pledging to Louis that his job is completely safe, Kelly would be the first person he’d like off. He really respects Gary and loves Tulisa – so who else does it leave to go?”
And it sounds as though Louis already has the perfect replacement in mind.
"Cheryl was loved by the public in a way no other judge ever has been, before or since," an insider said this afternoon. “Her comeback would guarantee a massive ratings boost.
“They can’t replace the contestants with new ones mid-series. But the show producers can take drastic action by shaking up the judging panel, if they feel it’s needed.
“And Simon is totally committed to doing whatever it takes to keep his X Factor empire going strong."
It comes as overnight data reveals yet another decline in viewers for the show this Saturday, beaten by rival show Strictly Come Dancing for the first time in over 4 years.
Whatever happens, we certainly don't foresee the panel staying as it is for much longer...
