X Factor judge Gary Barlow has revealed how he loves to get pep talks from show boss Simon Cowell, saying how the pair have been having conversations about one act in particular. Chatting to the Daily Star Sunday, Gary admitted both he and Simon been discussing Frankie Cocozza with interest.
The Take That star said: “Simon was really pleased with last week’s show. I spoke to him this week and the one act we both wanted to discuss was Frankie.
“We both felt we’d been lazy with him on the second week so we were both pleased we’d improved there.”
Gary continued: “Simon normally rings morning my time because he’s in Los Angeles. As someone who always wants to learn, it’s brilliant to hear from the exec producer of the show.
“I’m here because I like the challenge, I want to be the best at this. I learn so much from half an hour on the phone with Simon. And I love it, I love the feedback.”
Talking about the show's ratings, Gary added: “You know what? I don’t feel responsible for the something will change that. I think the ratings thing is just a way for some- one to criticise the number one show.”
