X Factor 2011: Kelly Rowland 'given 48 hours' to decide her future on the show!

Kelly Rowland 2011

Frankie Cocozza's Should I Stay Or Should I Go song choice on last night's X Factor couldn't have been more apt, not only for him but also the judges. It's been reported today that X Factor boss Simon Cowell has given Kelly Rowland 48 hours to decide whether or not she will quit the show.

Currently ill with a throat infection back in the States, Kelly missed last night's fourth live show, and has not been with her acts all week.

“Kelly has been told it’s time to make her mind up. Everyone is supportive of the fact she is ill but other bosses are annoyed at the situation," a source told The People.

“She doesn’t want to quit. She is adamant that she isn’t worried about the row she had with Tulisa and wants to return but she has to give the producers her word – and fast.”

Last night former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke stepped in for the US singer, but fortunately for Kelly, didn't go down too well with viewers.

"Things are at crisis point. Producers and Simon need to know that Kelly is going to return," an X Factor source added.

“If not they need to find a replacement as soon as possible. Simon has heard things have got out of hand and that it’s war.”

But going by Kelly's tweets, she'll be back.

Watching the show from LA last night, she wrote: “I am so devastated that I can’t be there with my girls!”

(And for the record, you should go, Frankie)
