X Factor 2011: Sophie Habibis criticised for "dull as dishwater" song choices

Sophie Habibis

X Factor 2011's Sophie Habibis has been panned by the judges for her "dull as dishwater" song choices on tonight's show. The 19-year-old performed a cover of Bang Bang for tonight's Halloween special but the panel weren't sure on the song...

Louis moaned: "I’m not sure about the song choice... there is something missing but I don’t know what it is."

He added: "It’s like you’re a secretary who sings at the weekends or something!"

Standing in for Kelly Rowland, Alexandra Burke commented: "I’ll keep it real and say that there were a few tuning issues babe but it does not take away the fact that you are a beautiful performer.

"Everyone is commenting on the song choice but it’s Halloween so don’t we want a little droopy song choice here?"

Tulisa however was more positive, saying "You nailed it! I was worried when I saw you in rehearsals earlier but I felt that you started to find your own tone vocally, there was a bit of Kate Nash tang in there too... I really liked it."

Gary Barlow said: "This is the fourth week you’ve come out here singing a really dreary ballad... I’ve got a big problem with you, I love your voice but your song choices are as dull as dishwater."

Defending herself, Sophie said: "Of course it's Halloween so I wanted to make it spooky and haunting."
